Vintage Kenwood Model KA-7100 DC Stereo Integrated Amplifier - For Parts/Repair. Left and/or right channel drops out intermittently. Dropped audio channel will become'crunchy' sounding, very quiet, or with no sound at all. Extensive cleaning of knobs and switch contacts has been performed, this problem still remains.

This will happen every time when the unit power is shut off for a few moments. Audio will be fine before power off. Without adjusting any controls, when turned on again one or both channels may initially have this problem.

Raising the volume clears it up temporarily and sound is good, but still intermittently this will occur in left or right channel during use. All inputs and outputs working. Speaker sets A & B working. All functions Attenuator, High Filter, Tone controls etc. May have cosmetic wear and/or scuffs.
