Sansui Model 500 Vintage Tube Receiver FOR PARTS REPAIR ONLY. THIS IS A MODEL 500 NOT THE LATER MODEL 500A. Unit tested- found that amplifier section in working order. If channel 1 is used mono- both channels work as intended- if channel 2 is used mono then only a little output is heard at full volume.

If stereo is chosen only Channel One plays, 2 is no a no go- This was not a tube issue. I tested unit using known good tubes from my personal stock. Then switched them out with another set to be certain and issue was still exactly as described. That it is in need of capacitor replacement on the pre-amp side of the unit. Comes as shown- only those tubes you see are included- including the green "magic Eye" - eye does work.

Cosmetics are good but not perfect. I solid dent in top cover as shown by photo. The radio tuning line has started to flake on the left hand side. There are a few other small scratches and such that exist but those do not call attention away from the rest of the units good if not great looks.
