Omega Seamaster Chronostop Model. 145.007. Year 1968

A 1968 Omega Seamaster chronostop wristwatch on leather strap. Fly back Chronograph mechanism, one pusher, press to start, press and hold in to read the time measured, release to 0. Matte black dial, faceted chapter ring with applied steel indexes, the indexes with luminous dots above, matte white outer ring for minutes/chronograph seconds, inner bezel calibrated for tachymeter, luminescent baton hands (degradation of the luminosity is natural with age) orange chronograph seconds hand.

Case back with the Omega Seamaster logo, Omega winding crown, Omega crystal; case, dial, movement, crown signed. Calibre 865 movement 17 jewelled hand wound movement introduced in 1966, and this watch would have been one of the last using this movement as it was discontinued in 1968. Please read the description carefully and look at the pictures, vintage watches often show signs of wear and ageing, which I show as best I can in the photography, I don't refinish or replace major parts on watches as I believe they should be kept as original as possible. I have owned this watch for five years and have worn occasionally, and wound once a week to keep the movement lubricated.
