Fisher Model 500C Stereo Tube Receiver for Parts or Restoration

This is a desirable high quality receiver, but there is brown staining at the base of the power transformer, so I believe it is bad. The knobs were missing when I got this, and most of the tubes are gone. It is a high quality receiver using four 7591s in the output, driven by nine 12AX7s.

I removed the bottom cover and checked for continuity on the primary of the output transformers, and they appeared to be OK. Everything else was clean underneath.

So the output transformers are OK, as I tested the secondaries from the back of the set. So to restore it, it needs a power transformer, most of the tubes, and the knobs, so it my be best for parts. The receiver measures roughly 17 ½ by 5 ¾ at the front, and is 13 ½ inches deep, not counting the control shafts. It should be great for restoration, or to use for parts.
