Apple Lisa 2/5 Mac Macintosh. Clean For Parts or Repair. This is a non-working Apple Lisa 2/5. It has been stripped down and all plastics washed and cleaned. The metal chassis was cleaned and dusted out. The PCBs dusted and socketed ICs reseated. It was stored in the previous owners garage and received water damage. There was also major battery leakage damage to the base plain.

The batteries were removed and there does not appear to be much damage to the main cards. The card edge connectors need a little further cleanup work. The base plain is a near total loss. After cleaned up with distilled white vinegar, the damage became more apparent. The discrete components are a write-off.

Many slot metal connections are gone close to where the batteries were located. The rear connections are missing the wires from the port to the PCB. The reset button is frozen. This PCB would require a total rebuild and bodge work. Or it could be replaced with a new board recently found online.

The case metal interior had some rust in many places. This was sanded off as best as I could do. The power supply has many out of spec capacitors. The four safety caps have been replaced. When tapping the tube, it does not sound like it has a vacuum.

There is no floppy drive or cage installed. The case plastics have a few nicks here and there.

Also a few marks that would not come off but they are small. Please see photos for content and physical condition. Keep in mind, that I mainly sell vintage computers and vintage computer accessories. That said even though the box/item may not show damage, the internal mechanism may have been damaged or jarred from a rough truck and/or plane ride. I will work with ALL my customers to resolve the problem. Personally, I do not think that this is an acceptable way to return items. We are not Walmart or Costco that cannot absorb these financial damages. Thank you for your patronage.
