Hello, this is a used very nice and very very rare winchester model 71 carbine 22inch barrel. The tenon has been tack welded on but is a easy repair. Or just use it, it appears to work fine to hold the metal end cap on. This is a real barrel not a cut down version as you can see in the pics of the front sight.
