We hope you enjoy the photos and information presented herein. The unit powered on with all lights working and we even tested for sound and it worked excellent for about 15-20 minutes. The unit shut down abruptly and we inspected the fuse, which seems to have burned out. The unit and one tube in particular, seemed a bit warm while it was running, but there was no odd smell or smoke. Our service tech offered us a reasonable quote to get it up and running but given the older nature of the unit we would prefer to offer it'as-is'. Once the unit stopped functioning, following the preliminary inspection, we did not perform any further testing. No repairs or servicing were attempted.

Tubes on unit are all present and do not show exterior damages. Tubes correspond to the schematic numbers on the main body. While the unit worked, specific larger tubes glowed slightly and all tubes had orange LEDs visible at the base contact points. All knobs and dials work fine.

The tuning knob is missing but still functions. Dust particles can be seen through the front tuning display. We recommend disassembling and cleaning the unit. It is interesting to see one of these older hi-fi Sansui's that has been kept completely unrestored.

Additional close-ups are visible below. Thank you for checking out our listing. We are here for you! More than just a pretty picture.
