Vintage MASCO Model MA-8N TUBE AMPLIFIER AS-IS FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION
Here is a model MA-8N Masco tube amplifier that I believe dates from the early 1950s. This weighs around 15 pounds by itself and still has its original power cord (which has a cracked rubber casing and will need to be replaced).

Because of the damaged power cord I didn't plug this in to see if it would power up. In addition to the damaged power cord, there is also a small chip on the round Bakelite part that's to the right of where the cord begins. The rest of this amp has some areas of rust and pitting. Fortunately none of the pitting appears to be bad enough to have severely weakened the metal.

The 3 Bakelite knobs all rotate as they should and appear to have no damage. The bigger 6L6 G tube is made by Sylvania while the smaller 5Y3 G tube is made by Philco. I have no idea if either of these tubes still work or not. Like the chassis, the cover has some areas of rust and pitting but doesn't seem to have any weak spots in the metal. On the inside of the cover I can see the remnants of where a dirt dauber wasp nest used to be. This amp looks like it spent much of its life in an attic of an old house. Therefore, I have to sell this as-is since it will need some restoration (to say the least) before it will properly work a. Worst case scenario it may only be good for parts as these amps are often found in this rusted state. Any overly bright white spots are just glare/reflections from the light.
