The oak base the phonograph mounts to appears to have been repaired in two places. It is solid and the unit appears to mount securely to the base.
The latches are in place and secure the lid to the base unit. The bottom mounting base is also hinged so you can raise the gramaphone to inspect the under carriage. This includes one Edison cylinder disk with the original cover. The only thing not pictured is the handle and I will send that to you upon request. It may work and it may not. It is a nice display piece for the right location.
The best I could find from the serial Number is that this is an Edison Home model A machine from around 1903. The return of damaged item may be necessary, but will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
